You’re about to enjoy The Birds Don’t Sing by Clipse Ft. John Legend & Voices of Fire Here In ThinkNews
About The Birds Don’t Sing, a song by the talented American musician and musical artist Clipse, featuring John Legend & Voices of Fire. Push & Malice depict their raw, vulnerable emotions in the initial shock of learning of their mother and father’s respective passing. Whilst some who deal with tragic pain and loss are “numb” and unfeeling; the Thorntons “felt it all”; screeching their pain for the world to hear.
Rap fanhood encourages scrutinising lines, hunting the words and meanings left unsaid. Lines in this song could be targeted barbs. Malice’s list of lessons learned from an active father feel especially poignant if not pointed considering the recent public inquiry of the effects an idle father had on a certain Canadian rapper.
Pusha’s statement that his mother “was against” his time in “Turks for Thanksgiving” is an implicit rejection of the culture Push participated in. It’s possible to see recrimination and disapproval towards Pusha’s rap peers and associates.
However, it’s unlikely The Clipse would sully personal, painful memories with relatively inconsequential rap beef.
